Although the heat and humidity have already set in, today is the first official day of summer. This will be my third summer in Charleston, and honestly I have yet to take advantage of everything this wonderful city has to offer. I have decided to create a summer bucket list to help me accomplish this mission!
Dine at five different restaurants down town that I have yet to experience. Charleston is know for it's exceptional seafood and southern cuisine. There is no reason I should escape this experience!
Spend at least one day at each beach in Charleston. Did you know that there are at least four different beaches to go to in Charleston- Sullivan's, Isle of Palms, Folly, Kiawah? The two I most frequently visit are Sullivan's and Isle of Palms, but it would be nice to venture to the others as well. It's amazing the different atmosphere you experience at each one.
Tour a brewery/distillery. There are several local breweries in the area that produce magnificent beer. Most all of them offer tours of their locations with free tastings. Firefly Sweat Tea Vodka is also made in Charleston, and their tour is on the top of my list!
Tour one of the many plantations. As one of the oldest cities, Charleston has gorgeous plantation homes that are available for tours. They each hold their own place in history, and share a piece of the beauty of the "old" city.
What is on your summer bucket list?

What a great list! I did something similar only a kid version. I hope you have an awesome summer!
Love your bucket list! You are going to have the funnest summer :)
what a fun bucket list! You should totally try and make it to Ru de Jean for one of your restaurants!
Sounds like you have a lot of fun to squeeze in this summer :) We've been wanting to visit a brewery too, I need to look into that more!
Plus we are always eating at the same places, so we hope to venture out a little more and try some new ones! :)
Sounds like you have a great summer ahead of you! On my summer list? Getting to Charleston! I love that part of the country, and can't wait to visit again!
Even though I grew up in Charleston and still live here, I just ate at SNOB for the first time last weekend and it was so good!
Omg, Charleston just looks AMAZING!!! I was actually just looking at a house there on Realtor today. It's my dream to move to one of the Carolina's. I'm dying to live near a beach!!! I'm in Jersey and the beaches down south just seem so much better. So lovely!
What a wonderful idea!! I need to make a Raleigh bucket list!
Sound like good goals to me! :)
I grew up spending every summer at Folly and love it. My grandparents have a house there. It feels like home.
I have showers and parties and things going on every weekend this summer (or at least it seems that way) so that's mostly my bucket list!
i love your list! i've never been to charleston and wish i could join you for the fun!
Kiawah is our all time favorite beach! Even just going to The Sanctuary for a drink is worth it.
