Training Tuesday: Beautiful View Edition
Remember those awesome views I told you about yesterday that my friend Rachel and I stumbled across on our run Friday? Here you have it- Tuesday morning's sunrise- courtesy of Daniel Island. Who wouldn't want to run to see this beautiful creation of God?
Rachel and I stepped it up a notch today. We completed 8 miles. Not gonna lie, I feel like an old grandma. My knees and legs are aching, but it was so worth the endurance I am building on for the half-marathon next weekend.
Before last Friday, I was getting very nervous that I had not done enough training and had not run far enough to compete in the race. That was before I summoned my new running partner! Rachel and I are able to push each other to our limits and achieve our set goals. Our next goal is 9 miles on Friday. We'll see how that goes :). Until then, I plan to ice my knees and shins, as well as get in a few walks and stretches!
