It's All About the Hair

{I am thankful for the full head of hair that God has blessed me with.  I was actually bald until I was two, and my poor mother didn't think I was ever going to have any hair.  Now, I have more than enough to go around.  I can't help but to think of the thousands of women who lose their hair every day to the strong effects of chemotherapy.  I am thankful that He knows the count of every strand of hair on my head.}

What's one of the first things you notice about another girl? {Erase those dirty thoughts from your mind!}  If you are anything like me, I notice the hair first 9 times out of 10.  There is something to be said for a nice head of hair, or lack thereof.  Sure a cute cut and color always looks nice, but the brilliance of the hair says it all- it's texture, thickness, shininess!  And that my friends doesn't always come natural.  You have to find the right set of products that work best for your hair.  My personal stylist sister has helped me to find the perfect combination to give my hair that "WOW" factor.

{one} Pureology Hydrate Shampoo
Gently cleanse without stripping colour with this luxurious moisturizing shampoo. The ZeroSulfate® formula delivers a rich lather while infusing hair with essential hydration and colour protection. The exclusive AntiFadeComplex® maximizes colour retention.
This.stuff.works.miracles.  It smells nice, doesn't leave my hair feeling grimy, and uses organic botanicals to give my hair the boost it needs!  Even though I have never colored my hair, I feel that each strand reaps the benefits of this amazing shampoo.

{two} Redken Extreme Shampoo

Provides a rich, abundant lather that gently cleanses, restores strength and adds shine.
 Yes, I use a couple different shampoos.  I think it is important to "trick" your hair sometimes.  When you consistently use the same shampoo day-to-day, your hair can get immune to the formula and the results won't be quite as shocking.  I use this Redken product about twice a week to restore my hair from all the damage I cause it.  It's a great in-between-use shampoo, but would make my hair too oily if I used it daily.

{three} Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal
Apply a small amount to damp hair before styling to smooth, hydrate, fight frizz and reduce drying time. Use a smaller amount on dry hair after styling for extra polish. Can also be used as a deep moisture treatment: Apply to damp hair, wrap in a plastic cap and leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse.
 I absolutely LOVE this product.  I have only been using it for a couple of months, and there is no turning back for me!  I squirt a dime size amount into the palm of my hand, rub my hands together, and then use my fingers as a brush to distribute the product equally on towel-dried hair.  I have no doubt that this saves my hair from the heat damage I put it through every day.

{four} Big Sexy Spray and Play Volumizing Hair Spray
 Use on all hair types to resist humidity and provide fullness, lift, great shine and flexible hold.
Some people aren't big on hairspray, but I've always been a fan.  I think your hair needs to be set after styling whether you curl, straighten, or blow dry and go!  This spray gives the perfect resistance to hold your "do".  I don't use enough to light my hair on fire, but I do use it evenly all over to give a finished look.  It works especially well on those days that you need your poof to be just right!

{This comprised list is not an endorsement by any means.  I was not paid to voice my opinion.  These are simply products that work for me and my hair.}

I used to use Redken Extreme but now I use All Soft :) Sometimes it makes my hair kinda flat though. I think I have seen that Pureology shampoo at tjmaxx.
